The Governor of Ebonyi State his Excellency Engr. Dave Umahi has reportedly told the PDP National Working Committee at a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday of his decision to leave the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The governor also told the PDP NWC led by the party National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, that the APC would protect the interest of the South-East in 2023 election.
This was due to various clamour from the South East PDP caucus and stateholders for power to return to the zone come 2023. However it has emerged that the opposition party has an underground plan to retain power to the North to the bewilderment of many.
The eventual exodus of these bigwigs would seriously mare the attempt to wrestle power from the ruling APC and that would mark another eventful eight (8) years for APC led federal government.
