Famous Wazobia FM Presenter Mr. Hilary Okechukwu allegedly commits suicide days after lossing his job.

A former employee of Wazobia FM Lagos and famous celebrity broadcaster Mr. Hilary Okechukwu is dead. The circumstances surrounding his dead is still sketchy and under investigation however an emerging reports from family and friends has pointed to suicide as a result of his summary dismissal by the broadcasting firm.

It is understood that Okechukwu’s dismissal was due to the alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to the company.

Mr. Femi Obong-Daniels, the head of stations for Cool FM and Wazobia FM, confirmed the sad news that the company lost an ex-worker.

“I can confirm we’ve lost a staff but there’s no evidence yet that it was a case of suicide. There’s no medical report. We just know we’ve lost a member of staff. We’ve lost a FORMER staff,” he was reported to have said.

While the head of stations did not speak on the circumstances surrounding the death, it is understood that the management of Wazobia FM held an urgent meeting last Saturday with respect to Okechukwu’s demise.

The deceased was survived by his wife and two kids. Rest in Peace Mr. Hilary Okechukwu.
